History & provenance
Australian everyday bullion.
The 2025 issue is one chapter in the series. The Perth Mint introduced its one-ounce silver bullion Kangaroo in 2016 as a high-volume counterpart to its limited-mintage wildlife series. It is struck from .9999 fine silver and issued as Australian legal tender.
The reverse uses a bounding red kangaroo surrounded by radiating lines, while a tiny letter engraved within the design functions as an authentication feature. Unlike the annually changing Kookaburra, the Kangaroo keeps a consistent core motif, making dates and portrait changes the main markers for set builders.
