This 1 oz record represents the 1 oz Radial Buffalo Round format. Private mints adapted James Earle Fraser’s Native American profile and American bison from the Buffalo nickel, first issued in 1913, into a widely recognized .999-fine silver round format. Various Private Mints applies its own finish and border treatment to the familiar pairing.

Because many unrelated mints use similar imagery, the maker name, edge, diameter, weight, and reverse inscriptions are essential identifiers. The design’s familiarity supports low-premium stacking, but it also makes precise attribution more important than the word “Buffalo” alone.
